CAMPUS ADVISORIES

The University of Alabama complies with the Clery Act,  by issuing Campus Advisories, also known as timely warnings, about reported crimes to the campus community in a manner that will aid in the prevention of similar crimes, as well as providing emergency notifications within UA’s Clery Act geography when the health and safety of the campus community may be at risk.

Campus Advisories are sent to the official UA email accounts of all students, faculty and staff; are posted on the UA Safety app; and below. Campus Advisory emails provide information that is available when the email is sent. As investigations continue, details may change. Updates are provided below as new information is gathered.

PUBLIC SAFETY NOTICES

In addition to Campus Advisories, UA may also send out Public Safety Notices for events that happen outside of UA’s Clery Act geography. While not required by the Clery Act, UA sends Public Safety Notices as part of its commitment to providing campus safety information. Public Safety Notices are sent via email and posted below. Public Safety Notices are updated as new information is gathered.
