Policies Regarding Security of and Access to Campus Facilities

The UA campus is made up of a variety of facilities, primarily student residences and academic/administrative buildings. During school sessions, security aspects of the student residences include the following:

  1. Smaller residence halls are locked 24 hours a day and have front entrance card swipe systems.
  2. Four, larger residence facilities -- Tutwiler Hall, Rose Towers, Burke Hall, and Paty Hall -- have front entrance desks staffed 24 hours a day.
  3. Entrance doors to campus apartments have independent locking systems with restricted keyways.
  4. Policies and procedures for accessing privately owned Greek facilities are established by each house corporation.
