Sex Crime Prevention Act of 2002

 

Adult criminal sex offenders who must register with law enforcement officials must notify those officials of their enrollment or employment at institutions of higher education within the state. That information should then be forwarded to campus police of the school or institution of higher education where the adult criminal sex offender is employed, carries on a vocation, or is a student. In accordance with the Campus Sex Crimes Prevention Act of 2002, the University must notify the UA community of where this information can be obtained. To request information regarding registered sex offenders, including those employed, carrying on a vocation, or enrolled at The University of Alabama, call the University Police Community Services at (205) 348-9093; write University Police, Attention: Community Services, Box 870180, Tuscaloosa, AL 35487-0180; or e-mail UA Police Community Services.
