If you find an item on campus

If you find an item and can’t locate the owner, bring the item to the UA Police Center at 1110 Jackson Ave., or call UAPD at 205-348-5454 and an officer will meet you to pick up the item on campus.

You can also turn in items that you find at the information desk in the UA Student Center, the front desks inside UA Recreation Centers and residence halls, or library circulation desks.

If you lost an item on campus

If you lost an item, check the list of items that have been found on the Lost and Found website to see if the item has been turned in. All recovered property is kept up to 90 days and then disposed of according to state statute.

Before you can retrieve an item from Lost and Found you must be able to identify the item before viewing or handling it.

You must make an appointment to identify any property by calling 205-347-0544 or emailing lldavis12@uapd.ua.edu.

Appointments are only available Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. until 4:45 p.m. Appointments cannot be made for weekends or UA-observed holidays.

If you lost an item while attending an athletic event

If you lost an item while attending any events at athletic venues on the UA campus, email a description of the lost item, your name and phone number to lldavis12@uapd.ua.edu.
