Tuscaloosa Police Investigate Off-Campus Robbery – 11/22/09

TUSCALOOSA POLICE INVESTIGATE OFF-CAMPUS ROBBERY

A male University of Alabama student reported to the Tuscaloosa Police Department that he was the victim of a robbery that occurred at approximately 9:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2009 in the 300 block of Helen Keller Boulevard. The student reported that he was sleeping in his apartment when three unknown males, two of whom were armed with handguns, entered through an unlocked door and demanded property. The student resisted and began to struggle with the males. Two of the males assaulted the student while the other took property. All three then fled from the apartment area, two traveling in a large white four-door sedan and the other running away on foot. The student was treated for injuries at DCH Regional Medical and was released.

The description provided of the suspects is as follows:

Suspect One:

  • Male
  • Age 20’s
  • Dark complexion
  • Approximately 6′ 02″ in height and 200lbs

Suspect Two:

  • Male
  • Late teens to early 20’s
  • Dark complexion
  • Approximately 5’09” in height and 190 lbs

Suspect Three:

  • Male
  • Dark Complexion
  • Approximately 5’09” in height and 170 lbs

All suspects are described as wearing dark clothing and masks.
