TUSCALOOSA POLICE INVESTIGATE OFF-CAMPUS ROBBERY
The Tuscaloosa Police Department received a delayed report of a robbery that occurred in the 800 block of Frank Thomas Avenue on December 10, 2011, at approximately 2:00 a.m. A male UA student reported that he was approached by two male suspects as he was walking near the rear of his residence. One of the males presented a firearm and ordered the victim to get down on the ground. The males took cash from the victim, then fled on foot in a southwesterly direction. A witness observed the males enter a white Dodge Durango driven by a third suspect near the 1400 block of Paul Bryant Drive. The victim was not injured.
The following description of the suspects was provided:
Suspect 1
- Male
- Dark Complexion
- Height – approximately 6’ 03″
- Weight – approximately 200 lbs
- Age: 20’s
- Wearing a black shirt, red pants, white shoes
- Dredlock hairstyle
- Armed with a handgun
Suspect 2
- Male
- Dark Complexion
- Height – approximately 5′ 09”
- Weight – approximately 180 lbs
- Age: 20’s
- Wearing a white sweatshirt, black pants, and a yellow bandana
