University of Alabama Police Respond to Burglaries
The University of Alabama Police Department responded to burglary calls from Presidential II Residence Hall late in the evening of November 10 and the early morning of November 11. Suspects accessed unlocked residences, sometimes erroneously representing themselves as members of UA’s Housing Staff. UAPD is actively investigating these incidents and has increased patrols around residential areas.
This message reports currently available information. As the investigation continues, details may change. Updates will be provided on the UAPD Advisories webpage as necessary.
We encourage all residents to lock their doors at all times, whether they are in their room/suite or not. Additionally, please be aware that Housing staff should always be wearing nametags that identify them as staff.

Other Details: Tan sweatshirt, jeans, ball cap

- Always lock your doors. If you live in a suite in a residence hall, lock your exterior and interior doors.
- Be careful and mindful of any valuables you may carry on your person
- Be mindful of your surroundings.
