UAPD Responds to On Campus Robberies (4/20/22)

Investigative work by UAPD led to the arrest of two suspects from the first robbery reported in the early hours of April 20

UAPD Campus Safety Advisory: On-campus robberies – April 20, 2022

The University of Alabama Police Department responded to two robbery reports on campus in the early morning hours of April 20.

In one report, the victim was followed out of a bar on University Blvd. and was punched from behind as he walked by the Walk of Champions at Bryant Denny Stadium around 1:30 a.m. The victim described two, possibly three suspects who fled on foot back toward The Strip. No further injuries were reported.

In the second report, the victim described being robbed at an unspecified time in the overnight hours of April 19 and 20 in the Publix parking lot near The Strip. The victim described one suspect in a black car who left the area. No injury was reported.
